The tail fin is square-shaped. Tiger trout are also fish eaters starting from an early age. They like to hunt for prey along the shallow waters. They are also more resistant to some forms of diseases like the whirling disease. This makes them an ideal choice for stocking in waters which are known to be whirling disease infected.
Lastly, the Golden trout which is defined as small and beautiful is also known as spectacular and distinctive with vibrant colours. It evolved for over thousands of years and adapted the high country meadows of Kern Plateau. The golden trout is referred to as the state fish of California. Aside from its beauty, this small fish can also fight. Their length range from 7 to 12 inches and the California record is more than 9 lbs.
